“How long have you known Tim?” Since we got married, this has quickly become one of the most common questions from friends and family. The honest answer is just under a year. In that time we had a couple of phone calls, a handful of texts and emails, and most importantly his questionnaire. And somehow, that was all Tim needed to write the perfect ceremony for us. Our ceremony was so personal and so perfectly "us" that we couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks afterward. If most of your experience with weddings has been religious weddings, it can be difficult to envision what a non-religious wedding ceremony can look like. Tim's process and questionnaire are structured so that you can take the time to think through and decide what you do and don't want for your ceremony. There's zero pressure to do things "because it's tradition", and he's conscientious to ask how you want to be introduced. We took our time filling out the questionnaire and researching readings, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of planning the wedding. Tim is LGBTQIA friendly, open to skipping any traditions you don’t want, and excited to help make something new and fresh if that’s your vision. He has such a warm, affable, calming presence on the day of the wedding that puts everyone at ease. We can’t recommend him enough, and we’ll keep telling anyone who asks: hire Tim as your officiant!
Tim was amazing to work with from start to finish! From our initial phone call with Tim, we knew right away that we wanted him to be a part of our big day. He is a true professional and really took the time to learn details about us as a couple in order to curate the perfect ceremony. We couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out! We also had sort of a unique request and needed a non-family member/friend to deliver one of our rehearsal dinner speeches. Tim, without question, gave up an extra hour of his Friday evening to deliver the speech for us and we couldn’t have been more grateful! I can’t put into words how grateful we are for the way our officiant made our wedding day so special. From the very first moment, he brought such warmth, joy, and genuine care to our ceremony. He made us laugh, he made us feel at ease, and he created an atmosphere that was full of love and meaning. It felt like he truly understood us and wanted our day to be perfect. Tim is a truly wonderful wedding officiant! Highly recommend him, especially for anyone looking for a secular ceremony. My husband and I were just married by Tim this past week, and he created such a beautiful ceremony for us, with personal touches specific to our story and our lives. He has such a warm and calming presence, perfect to help soothe your nerves when your anxiety is climbing. And I was super anxious for first few minutes, but we were in good hands with Tim. He can add little jokes and make you laugh while still respecting the solemnity of the occasion. We had interviewed three officiants via video or phone chat, and although he wasn’t as cheap as the other two (but still reasonable rates!), we had a good feeling about him and went with our gut based on vibes, and have no regrets. Our guests thought he was great, too. And he just seems like a really cool and friendly guy. Reach out to Tim if you need someone to perform your wedding ceremony, he knows what he’s doing!
